Abstract
En este articulo queremos presentar un deporte nacido de la adaptacion del hockey sobre hielo, hecha a propuesta de S.O. Canada para mejorar el nivel de participacion en los campeonatos de invierno de Special Olympics. Con la adaptacion del suelo (cualquier pista deportiva), del material (stick y disco), proceso de aprendizaje, normativa tecnica, reglamentacion y la exclusion de los patines, nacio el hockey interior como un deporte colectivo de 6 jugadores en el campo con un minimo de 8 jugadores y un maximo de 11, que se juega en tres partes de 9 minutos con obligatoriedad de hacer cambios de jugadores cada 3 minutos. Deporte que ha dado y puede ofrecer aun mas la posibilidad de participacion a deportistas de muchos niveles y con limitaciones variadas, ya que es un deporte rapido, facil de aprender y muy alegre. Por todo ello se convertira en un futuro no muy lejano en un deporte como tal, asi como en un nuevo recurso didactico para todos los profesionales de educacion fisica.
