Abstract
Cet article rapporte les résultats d’une étude menée en 1991-1992 sur l’expérience de diffusion électronique de l’information gouvernementale aux États-Unis, en France, en Grande-Bretagne et en Norvège. Le contexte de la diffusion électronique de l’information gouvernementale dans ces pays est décrit, ainsi que la méthodologie utilisée. Les résultats présentés concernent le droit d’auteur, les objectifs de diffusion, les ententes négociées avec les diffuseurs, les études de marché et les clientèles visées et finalement la promotion. L’étude dégage sept facteurs jugés les plus importants dans la diffusion électronique d’une base de données provenant d’un gouvernement.
