Cet article evalue les progres du Canada dans le secteur de la sante des femmes en examinant d”un oeil critique « Strategies pour la sante des femmes », un document prepare en 1999 par Sante Canada, « Strategies » est considere comme une reponse aux engagements internationaux pour promouvoir la sante des femmes et en particulier pour implanter une analyse basee sur le genre dans tous les programmes et services, politiques et recherches. Cet article decrit les progres limites qui ont ete faits a ce jour et propose des arguments pour que « Strategies de la sante des femmes » soit repense pour etre plus efficace afin de repondre aux besoins et aux attentes des Canadiennes.
