La reception de l'Eucharistie dans le contexte d'un mariage mixte a recu quelque peu d'attention dans les deux codes de droit canonique et dans quelques documents oecumeniques. Alors que les normes du CIC c. 844 et du CCEO c. 671 etablissent les circonstances pour l'expression licite de la communicatio in sacris, le mariage mixte et la reception de l'Eucharistie ont aussi ete evoques dans le Directoire oecumenique de 1993 et dans d'autres ententes oecumeniques specifiques. L'A. revoit ces documents et puis presente les opinions de quelques theologiens et canonistes qui explorent de futures possibilites pour un partage plus large de l'Eucharistie dans les mariages mixtes.
