Abstract
Voix venue d’ailleurs, la parole immigrante, jusque là sporadique et aléatoire, acquit dans le Québec des années 1980 une légitimité l’autorisant à se prévaloir du statut de courant littéraire bien propre à revivifier une littérature nationale qui s’épuisait. Tenue d’innover sous peine d’extinction ou d’assimilation, cette « écriture migrante » s’y employa et fonda son esthétique sur une hybridité conçue comme la forme littéraire de l’instabilité conceptuelle inhérente à tout phénomène migratoire. Mais au delà de ses apports thématiques, génériques et langagiers, le mouvement a une véritable portée herméneutique car, en donnant force et lisibilité à des motifs inscrits en creux, il offre un code d’accès à la littérature québécoise traditionnelle dont il partage certaines préoccupations parmi lesquelles les notions d’exil et d’altérité, l’insertion dans l’Histoire ou encore l’attention portée au transculturel. Pour cerner les principales lignes de force de l’écriture migrante, les contributions des participants au colloque international organisé sur ce thème par Marc Arino et Marie-Lyne Piccione à Bordeaux en décembre 2005 proposent en premier lieu une réflexion d’ordre théorique, puis abordent les figures du déplacement, du dédoublement et du travestissement que cette écriture motive, avant de s’intéresser à l’exil et à la quête identitaire qu’implique toute migrance.
