Abstract
Integrated project management software can provide contractors with better project tracking and control. This article describes the benefits of using integrated project management software and provides some guidelines on what to look for in a software package. Project management software pulls together information on contracts, documents, field questions, change orders, costs and projections. Integrated project management software can help handle the paperwork associated with jobs, reduces the burden of redundant data entry and allows all parties involved to have access to the same data at the same time. Contractors should consider the level of integration, document imaging, remote access, training and support, and likelihood of future enhancements when choosing an integrated project management software.
