Abstract
Le compositeur répond à la nouvelle réaction des Mélodistes indépendants. Il les invite à plus de nuance dans leur appréciation du fonctionnement des jurys. Il se félicite que l’idéologie de l’innovation esthétique serve de critères aux organismes subventionnaires et prédit que l’influence grandissante du néo-libéralisme permettra bientôt aux Mélodistes indépendants d’être majoritaires dans les jurys et les concerts. Il rappelle enfin que les principes dont se réclament les Mélodistes ont été réintégrés depuis trente ans dans les langages de plusieurs compositeurs contemporains. Il réaffirme que les avant-gardistes ont écrit des œuvres fortes d’une Beauté nouvelle.
