Abstract
La forma del cuerpo y su composicion influyen en el desempeno competitivo del deportista. La genetica los determina en gran parte, pero el entrenamiento varia en cierta medida las cantidades y relaciones entre diversos componentes corporales (por ejemplo, la cantidad de tejido graso, cuyo exceso en relacion a los patrones convenientes merma la prestacion deportiva del sujeto). En un sencillo, pero util y practico articulo, Fernando Calahorro Canada nos recuerda la clasificacion de los seres humanos establecida por el somatotipo y plasma las instrucciones para la valoracion antropometrica. El seguimiento de esta valoracion en los jugadores de futbol nos permitira valorar, en cierta medida, la incidencia del entrenamiento a nivel condicional.
