En los adolescentes los principales problemas identificados, tales como el embarazo, se asocia con conductas de riesgo. La adolescencia y el embarazo inducen cambios significativos en la vida de una mujer, que a menudo tienen implicaciones para el equilibrio de la familia, que requiere procesos de adaptacion que puede ser facilitado con la intervencion de la enfermera de la familia. El Modelo de Calgary de Evaluacion e Intervencion Familiar se puede utilizar para evaluar la pertinencia de la intervencion de enfermeria en el contexto de embarazo en la adolescencia. Por otro lado, el uso de las interrelaciones entre las taxonomias NANDA, NIC y NOC para llevar a cabo el proceso de atencion de enfermeria permiten a los profesionales disponer de una lenguaje comun que fomenta el desarrollo del conocimiento en enfermeria y la calidad de la atencion.
