Abstract
When a major roadwork project required the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) to widen an elevated highway that crosses the Susquehanna River, an environmental assessment revealed the need for sound abatement technology to mitigate the resulting increase in traffic noise levels. Recognizing that a concrete sound wall built on the Route 201 bridge would create a tunnel-like effect and cast traveling vehicles in shadow, the NYSDOT chose a unique option to shield the residents of nearby Johnson City from traffic noise: constructing a 328'-long transparent noise barrier along the length of the bridge. This article describes the design and construction of this transparent barrier, the first of its kind in New York, which will help ensure that drivers who traverse the Route 201 bridge continue to enjoy natural daylight as well as scenic views of the Susquehanna River Valley.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from it
