Abstract
Au printemps 2012, la ville de Montréal et l’ensemble du Québec ont été balayés par la mobilisation massive des étudiants de niveau postsecondaire, et même secondaire, qui s’opposaient à la hausse des frais de scolarité annoncée par le gouvernement provincial libéral de Jean Charest. Ce qui est devenu la plus longue et importante grève étudiante de l’histoire du Québec s’est transformé en véritable « crise sociale » sans précédent. Cet article poursuit l’objectif général de caractériser le répertoire d’action collective mis en avant par ce mouvement en s’intéressant particulièrement à la relation entre ces actions collectives et le territoire urbain de la ville de Montréal. Sur le plan méthodologique, nous voulons participer au débat entourant l’utilisation de la presse écrite et de l’analyse événementielle en tant que stratégie de recherche.
