Abstract
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is in the process of modernizing its transit control center in order to improve reliability and provide better subway service through improved emergency response coordination and improved safety and efficiency. This paper examines the important methods of contract execution for the project and focuses on critical items for success. Also included are lessons learned, and recommendations regarding large projects incorporating complex software developments. Part of the presentation of the paper includes the current status of the project.
