Abstract
Cette etude porte sur les feldspaths potassiques qui cristallisent en abondance dans des roches d'affinite volcanique, prelevees dans le Roan du Shaba, au Zaire. Ces roches volcaniques etaient a l'origine acides ou basiques et comptent a present entre 40 et 70 % de feldspaths potassiques. Ces feldspaths, appartenant a au moins deux types differents, le microcline maximum et l'orthose, ont une composition chimique presque pure. Ils ont cristallise dans ces roches volcaniques au cours de la diagenese, dans un bassin hydrologique ferme, riche en saumures alcalines. Il semble que la concentration en sel soit le seul parametre qui regisse la formation de l'un ou l'autre du microcline ou de l'orthose. La substitution de Al par Fe pourrait expliquer la distorsion de la maille observee dans certains de ces feldspaths.
