Abstract
Aggregate can be shipped on ocean-going vessels for as little as one- third the cost of transporting it by barge, which could result in a large increase in overseas aggregate shipments to ports on the West Coast of the U.S. Details of a water-only delivery project where Canadian aggregate was used to build a Navy pier in Coronado, CA. Also descriptions of new wharfing facilities for aggregate ships and plans for expanding aggregate exports to the U.S.
