Abstract
Afin défavoriser le départ à la retraite anticipée des travailleurs âgés, les entreprises et les établissements en Amérique du Nord ont de plus en plus eu recours à des programmes incitatifs. Malgré l'importance grandissante que revêtent ces programmes, au Canada peu d'études ont traité de la question. L'article utilise les données des travaux de recherche et des enquêtes nationales dont on dispose afin de nourrir les connaissances dans ce domaine. Un tableau général de l'utilisation des programmes d'incitation à la retraite anticipée (PIRA) par les entreprises et les travailleurs âgés est dressé. Des pistes sur les voies à suivre pour la recherche sont fournies en conclusion.
