Dispositions, capacités et pratiques de SST dans les petites entreprises : opinions de patrons, d’employés et d’intervenants en SST au Québec

Abstract
La santé et de la sécurité du travail (SST) dans les petites entreprises (PE) n’est pas formellement documentée au Québec faute de statistiques en fonction de la taille des entreprises. Les intervenants en SST rapportent toutefois que les travailleurs sont exposés à des risques importants et mal maîtrisés. Des entrevues avec des patrons et des employés de six PE manufacturières et avec des intervenants externes en SST sont utilisées pour décrire et expliquer les pratiques de prévention en rapport avec les deux principaux moyens de prévention de la LSST. Les intervenants en SST observent que les pratiques relatives à la participation des employés et à la prévention des risques à la source ne correspondent pas aux objectifs de la loi. Les résultats questionnent l’adaptation de l’approche du système québécois de SST pour les PE.
