Monte Albán. Su desarrollo sociocultural desde las primeras manifestaciones culturales a su consolidación política (8000 a. C.-250 d. C.)

Abstract
Para el 8000 a. C. se dan las primeras ocupaciones en los valles centrales de Oaxaca. En la etapa Preceramica se establecieron pequenas bandas de cazadores-recolectores hasta formarse macrobandas que se sedentarizaron. Hacia la FaseRos ario (700-500 a. C.) se formaron jefaturas. Para la etapa Monte Alban I (500-200 a. C.) se fundo el sitio de Monte Alban —el mas antiguo de Mesoamerica—, con continuidad desde la fase anterior por la traza, orientacion y similitud con estructuras poco comunes, asi como por el material arqueologico de menor escala. Por ello su formacion autoctona. Se prepara el terreno en la cima del cerro Monte Alban y se da una actividad constructiva al norte y sur del sitio. En la etapa Monte Alban II (200 a. C.-100 d. C.), se prosigue con la actividad constructiva en el sitio y se da una consolidacion politica de Monte Alban a los Valles Centrales, Rio Verde y la Canada de Cuicatlan hasta la Mixteca. Llega a tener relaciones con Teotihuacan y con la cultura maya. Se cuestiona el tipo de vinculos entre ambos sitios, pero Monte Alban tuvo que ver con la traza de Teotihuacan.
