Abstract
This article details Metro Magazines choice of the 7 most innovative motorcoach operators for the year 2004. The winners of the award are: Autocar Excellence, of Quebec City, Quebec; Coach USA Shortline, of Mahwah, New Jersey; Indian Trails, of Owosso, Michigan; Private Motor Coach, Inc., of Whitehouse, Texas; Paradise Trailways, of West Hempstead, New York; Pacific Monarch, of Monterey Bay, California; and Winn Transportation, of Richmond, Virginia. Each of the operators was chosen for their novel operational ideas, which have proved successful despite the poor economy, skyrocketing insurance costs, and continuing threats of terrorism. Each companys winning platform is described in their respective company profile included in the article.
