Abstract
L’ICMC s’est tenue à l’université McGill à Montréal en octobre 1991 . Les deux textes réunis ici, l’un émanant d’un compositeur de l’IRCAM, l’autre d’un défenseur des orientations actuelles de la musique américaine, présentent deux points de vue radicalement opposés sur cet événement. Le premier auteur n’y voit qu’amateurisme et utilisation stérile de la technologie, le second, ouverture d’esprit et possibilité de choix.
