Abstract
The 2011 edition of the IDEAS (International Database Engineering & Applications Symposium) is being held in the city of Lisbon, Portugal, from the 21st to the 23rd of September. Since 1997, IDEAS has established itself as a premier forum in the area of database engineering and applications, providing a unique opportunity for database researchers, users, and developers to exchange new ideas, approaches, and methodologies. For IDEAS'11, we continue to keep our tradition of inviting international experts in various aspects of database engineering to join our international program committee. As a result, our Program Committee consists of professionals from different parts of the world including: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Korea Republic, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.
