Abstract
Abstract — In spite of the excellent aerial photographs published by A. Poidebard, the camp of Sa'neh remained unrecognized. Several visits on the site by the author and other colleagues allowed to draw the plan of a square camp with a surface of 0,75 ha, provided with rounded towers in the corners. Two doors are located in the middle of the eastern and western sides. The principia, reduced but of a classic pattern, take place in the middle of the northern half. Symmetrical barrack blocks can be identified in the southern half, and a cistern at northwest ; in the northeast quarter, an empty space could play the role of a caravanserai. Scarce pieces of ceramics collected allow to place hypothetically the construction of the camp in the Severian period and its abandoning before the middle of the 5th cent.
