Quelques nouvelles lois importantes regissant la preparation et la celebration de mariage ont ete presentees dans la deuxieme edition du Rituel du mariage-l'editio typica altera de l'Ordo celebrandi Matrimonium (=OCM) qui a ete publie en latin en 1991 et en francais en 2005. En plus de la presentation d'un nouveau rite de mariage devant un assistant qualifie laic (pas dans l'edition francaise), la deuxieme edition de l'OCM de 1991 marque une expansion majeure des lois liturgiques par rapport a celles de l'editio typica de 1969. Alors que certaines de ces lois repetent celles de l'edition precedente et du Code, plusieurs autres sont nouvelles et, en somme, representent une addition importante au ius vigens sur le mariage. L'objet de cette etude concerne les normes disciplinaires qui sont nouvelles dans l'OCMde 1991, a l'exclusion des rubriques pour les quatre rites au moment de leur celebration meme. La premiere partie de l'etude examine les normes disciplinaires gouvernant chacun des quatre rites differents du mariage. La deuxieme partie considere d'autres nouvelles normes disciplinaires communes aux quatre rites se rapportant tant a la preparation pour le mariage qu'a sa celebration liturgique. Parmi les conclusions de l'A., on trouve que l'esprit du legislateur a evolue a propos de la nature de l'acte d'assistance au mariage par un laic. Cette assistance ne devrait pas etre consideree comme une exception a la forme canonique, comme qu'indique au c. 1108, § 1, mais comme ayant exactement la meme nature juridique et les memes effets que l'acte d'assistance par un clerc.
