Les adhésifs époxy sont le plus souvent des produits à deux composants dont les agents de réticulation sont des composés possédant des atomes d'hydrogène actifs : amines, acides, anhydride d'acide, mercaptans, etc...Lorsque ces sites réactifs sont placés sur des polymères linéaires, la réticulation des résines époxy classiques du type Bisphénol A ou Novolac conduit à des matériaux dont la flexibilité est améliorée.Les mercaptans sont des agents durcisseurs bien connus des résines époxy. Ce sont, par exemple, les Capcures (Diamond Shamrock) à chaînes courtes et les polysulfures à chaînes longues classiques (Thiokol Corp.).En développant les polymères Permapol P2, la société PRC a découvert un produit qui, utilisé pour la réticulation des résines époxy, conduit à des adhésifs présentant des propriétés intéressantes et variées, que nous allons énumérer et comparer avec celles des produits actuellement utilisés.Cet article est tiré d'une communication rédigée par R.N.
