In the current available literature there are various papers published surrounding the use of iron in reduced ejection fraction heart failure with iron deficiency patients, but these papers vary greatly in their interventions used as well as their objectives sought. This heterogeneity in the literature gives rise to questions about what the most efficient and safe way to replete a patients iron with HFrEF and iron deficiency is, as well as what benefits these patients will see based on the different therapeutic alternatives. This scoping review aims to identify the current literature surrounding this topic and also identify gaps in the literature for future studies to be performed in.
