Abstract
La multimorbidité se définit comme la présence de deux problèmes de santé chroniques ou plus et elle représente un défi important pour les systèmes de soins de santé dans le monde. Il existe peu de données, particulièrement dans le contexte canadien, sur la prévalence et l’incidence de la multimorbidité. Cette étude a permis d’analyser les tendances de la prévalence et de l’incidence de la multimorbidité et de la multimorbidité complexe (cinq problèmes de santé ou plus), et la façon dont elles diffèrent selon le sexe, l’âge et le quintile de revenu du quartier en Colombie-Britannique. Cette étude a également permis de déterminer les combinaisons de problèmes de santé les plus courants.
