One of a series of photographs of 96 members of the Medical School, Trinity College Dublin who died in, or as a result of involvement in, the Great War. Photograph number 91: Espine M. Picton Ward. Killed in Flanders, [22 May 1915]. Of the Canadian Infantry, 16th Bn. On photograph is written: “Espine M. Picton Ward 1902”. Name recorded also as: Espine Montgomery Picton-Ward (see entry at: https://www.cwgc.org). Memorialised by marble plaque on the wall of the entrance hall to the 1937 Reading Room, Trinity College Dublin. This photograph was conserved and digitised to mark the centenary of the beginning of World War I.
