Abstract
The effects of Ephedra shrubs and exclosures on animal abundance was observed by constructing exclosures around shrubs and in the open within Carrizo National Monument. Camera traps were placed on each exclosure as well as corresponding shrub and open areas without exclosures in order to see how animal composition differed between microsites.
