Abstract
<i>Tricholita</i> Grote Two undescribed species of <i>Tricholita</i> Grote came to our attention during this revision because of their similarity to <i>Lasionycta</i>. <i>Tricholita</i> can be distinguished from most <i>Lasionycta</i> by the white scales in the reniform spot. In the male genitalia of <i>Tricholita</i> the valve lacks a corona but has an adherent patch of long setae near the apex on the inner dorsal surface, the valve lacks the postsaccular flap characteristic of most <i>Lasionycta</i>, <i>Psammopolia</i>, and <i>Lacinipolia</i>, and the surface of the vesica lacks the band of cornuti that borders the wrinkled folding surface of the vesica in <i>Lasionycta</i>, <i>Eriopygodes</i>, and <i>Lacinipolia</i>, or covers the entire wrinkled surface in <i>Psammopolia</i> and <i>Lasionhada</i>. In the female genitalia the sclerotized surface of the ductus bursae does not extend onto the corpus bursae as in <i>Lasionycta</i>, <i>Psammopolia</i>, and <i>Lacinipolia</i> where it forms a sclerotized trough-like plate in the junction of the corpus bursae and ductus bursae. We take this opportunity to describe these species.
