Abstract
49. Deroceras leave (O. F. MÜLLER, 1774), Meadow Slug V e r b r e i t u n g: Holarktisch;inEuropa und Asien nativ; in Amerika von der Arktis bis zu den Anden; weltweit verschleppt, incl. die Tropen und ozeanische Inseln. Im Grossteil Nordamerikas (incl. Canada und Mexico) wird die Art als nativ angesehen, besonders die Populationen in höheren Lagen und abgelegenen Nassbiotopen; zusätzlich gehen viele Fundpunkte, besonders in Tälern und Stadtgebieten, auf wiederholte Einbürgerungen zurück. H a b i t a t e: Die Art wird aus einer Fülle von Habitaten gemeldet, zum Teil auch amphibisch; synanthrope invasive Populationen treten in Gärten, Parks, Gewächshäusern, unter Kompost, u.a., mit Schadwirkungen auf. Sie lebt in verschiedenen feuchten Habitaten – nassen Wiesen, Sumpfgebieten, an Flussufern sowie in bewaldeten Gebieten: Koniferen- und Laubwälder sowie Mischwälder, unter Holzmull, Totholz, in der Bodenstreu, im Moos, unter Steinen; von Meeresniveau bis 11.500 Ft. Die Tiere können tiefe Temperaturen ertragen; sie fressen an abgestorbenen und lebenden Pflanzenteilen, an Faeces, Regenwürmern, u.a. Von der Olympic Peninsula (Washington), wird die Art aus "Regenwald", 152,5 m Seehöhe, gemeldet, auf dem Gebiet einer ehemaligen Farm.
