Tribe AGAOCEPHALINI Burmeister, 1847 Original spelling and citation: Agaocephalidae Burmeister 1847: 280 Type genus: Agaocephala LePeletier and Serville, 1828: 570 (LePeletier and Serville, 1828 a) Remark: The original spelling of this genus is Agacephala, but it was later spelled Agaocephala by Mannerheim (1829: 56) and almost all authors since (although a few recent authors have used the original spelling). Since the incorrect subsequent spelling is in prevailing usage, it is now considered the correct original spelling of the name under Article 33.3.1.
