Abstract
As the result of an archaeological condition on the planning permission for the conversion to a dwelling of a barn at Manor Farm, Chesfield, Herts, the Heritage Network was commissioned by the owners to record the building prior to the start of the conversion works. The brick and timber built barn is of mid 19th century date, and appears to have been constructed as part of a new farm complex replacing an earlier group of buildings which lay to the south of the existing manor house.
