Abstract
The watching brief involved the monitoring of seven window sample and rotary coring boreholes, all of which measured 0.50m by 0.50m. All work was undertaken in accordance with accepted professional standards and guidelines (Historic England 2008; CIfA 2023), in accordance with the ASWYAS site recording manual (ASWYAS 2020) and in compliance with the Method Statement (Appendix 1). Archaeological Services WYAS (ASWYAS) undertook an archaeological watching brief during ground investigation works at Bradford Road, Halifax. Seven ground investigation test pits were monitored during the works. No archaeological remains were observed.
