Ce colloque se tiendra du 16 au 20 octobre sur le campus Praia Vermelha de l’université fédérale de Rio de Janeiro (Brésil), dans le cadre de l’édition conjointe du IX forum de migrations / Migratic 2017, fruit d’une initiative collaborative et en réseau entreprise par des chercheurs du Brésil, de la France, du Canada, de l’Espagne, des États-Unis, de l’Uruguay, du Chili et de la Martinique. Cette rencontre scientifique internationale a pour objectif de réunir chercheurs et spécialistes de différents pays du monde intéressés par les problématiques autour des liens entre migrations, interculturalité et communication. Elle devrait orienter les débats sur la question migratoire et sa conjugaison avec le champ théorique de la communication, des théories de la culture, des études frontalières, et ce, en référence aux notions de politique, de démocratie et de citoyenneté.
