Abstract
Statistics Canada. Canadian Census of Population, 2016: Census Profiles: Immigration and Citizenship | Indicator: Total - Citizenship for the population in private households - 25% sample data | Indicator Detail: Canadian citizens | Measure: Counts | Gender: Total, 2016. Data Planet™ Statistical Datasets: A SAGE Publishing Resource Dataset-ID: 075-004-006 Dataset: Provides metrics on immigration, citizenship, and place of birth of the population living in private households in Canada. Immigration Immigrant status refers to whether the person is a nonimmigrant, an immigrant, or a nonpermanent resident in Canada. For the 2016 Census, the immigrant population includes people having immigrated no later than May 10, 2016. Year and period of, and age at, immigration refer to the year of immigration, not the year of arrival. Citizenship refers to the country of citizenship. A person may have more than one citizenship or stateless, ie, have no citizenship. Citizenship can be by birth or naturalization. Place of birth information is collected on the place of birth of person and the place of birth of parents, and is used to derive generation status. Statistics presented include counts and rates, and are provided in total and by gender, where available. The 2016 Census Profiles is a data product of the 2016 Census of Population Program. The Census is conducted every five years, collecting social, demographic, and economic information on the Canadian population for a wide range of geographies. Data users are encouraged to review the technical documentation linked below, which includes a detailed Census Dictionary and Reference Guides to individual concepts covered in the 2016 Census. A guide to Canadian geographies covered in the Census of Population, 2016, is available here: https://www12.statcan.gc.ca/census-recensement/2016/ref/dict/az2-eng.cfm?topic=az2 . (Geographic coverage includes "forward sortation area," which is the first three characters of the postal code designating a postal delivery area within Canada. Note that “forward sortation area” is copyrighted by the Canada Post Corporation [CPC] and “postal code” is an official mark of CPC. Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
