Abstract
Questo studio offre un'analisi storica approfondita dell'evoluzione costituzionale del Canada sotto il regime di diritto civile, valutandone l'influenza sulle costituzioni e sulle istituzioni federali e provinciali. Esamina il dialogo giuridico tra tradizioni giuridiche continentali e comuni diritto , esamina atti legislativi chiave (Proclamazione reale del 1763; Legge del Quebec del 1774; Legge costituzionale del 1867), decisioni fondamentali della Corte Suprema (Riferimento sulla secessione del Quebec [1998]; R. v. Oakes [1986]) e contributi dottrinali.
