\n\t\t\t\tThe ATMEA1 reactor is an evolutionary generation III+ mid-size 1100 MWe 3-loop Pressurized Water Reactor designed by ATMEA, an AREVA and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd (MHI) joint venture. Developed primarily based on the US regulations its safety options have been reviewed by the French safety authorities which positively concluded that they are compliant with the French safety regulations. They have been reviewed by the Canadian safety authorities (CNSC) as well which concluded that, overall, the ATMEA1 design intent meets the most recent CNSC regulatory design requirements and expectations for a new nuclear power plant in Canada. The ATMEA1 reactor is now considered in several countries, such as Argentina, Brazil, Turkey and Vietnam.\n\t\t\t
