Abstract
This album consists of photographs purchased by Franklin B. and Jane A. Sykes while on a world cruise on the Empress of Australia between December 2, 1927 and April 19, 1928. Enclosed in the album are two certificates awarded by the ship to the Sykes' in recognition of their induction into Neptune's Order of the Blue. There is also a June 1928 memo gram from the Canadian Pacific Railway Company thanking the Sykes for travelling with them, and the April 10, 1928 issue of the C.P. R.M.S. Empress of Australia's The Empress Cruise News, and the May 6, 1931 issue of the Canadian Pacific Wireless Press of the C.P. R.M.S. Duchess of York.
