Abstract
Hlavním cílem výzkumu preferencí bydlení brněnských seniorů bylo získat podklad pro zhodnocení potenciálu navrhovaných alternativních nástrojů sociální a bytové politiky (různé formy sdíleného a komunitního bydlení, malometrážní byty a zpětné hypotéky), zaměřené na skupinu obyvatel Brna starších 65 let žijících ve vlastních domácnostech. Získána data však umožňují také zmapovat potřeby těchto seniorů i ve vztahu k bydlení a nabízeným sociálním službám obecněji. Výzkum byl součástí evropského projektu HELPS, který byl zacílen na vytváření strategií zlepšujících kvalitu života seniorů a lidí zdravotně postižených ve střední Evropě, a to zejména prostřednictvím prosazování inovativních způsobů bydlení a péče. Sběr dat byl realizován pro Sociologický ústav Akademie věd České republiky a Magistrát města Brna. Celkem bylo sesbíráno 1537 platných dotazníků.
