Deux études multicentriques de surveillance environnementale aux antinéoplasiques dans les établissements de santé québécois ont été réalisées par l’Unité de recherche en pratique pharmaceutique en 2008 et 2012. L’étude la plus récente a montré que la concentration d’antinéoplasiques mesurée sur les surfaces avait diminué de façon importante. Dans la foulée de ce programme de surveillance, des mesures supplémentaires ont été réalisées dans la clinique externe d’oncologie de notre centre. Deux des douze prélèvements réalisés sur les comptoirs de la clinique externe se sont avérés positifs au méthotrexate. Aucun prélèvement positif n’a été obtenu pour le cyclophosphamide ou l’ifosfamide.
