[1] Digitised version of IE TCD MS 10956, a ferial psalter, with the appropriate antiphons, hymns, and little chapters indicated: Folios 1rv: (1) Directions and opening hymns: (1r) A dominica i'a post oct' epiphanie Inuit' subscripta dicuntur singula singulis diebus dominicis usque ad lxx'a et a kl' oct' usque ad aduentum. Inuit(atorium). Venite exultemus domino... (1rv) hymnus. Primo dierum omnium quo mundus extat conditus... (U. Chevalier, 'Repertorium Hymnologicum', (Louvain and Paris, 1892-1921), 6 volumes, no. 15450 as by Gregorius Magnus). (1v) hymnus. Nocte surgentes uigilemus... (U. Chevalier, 'Repertorium Hymnologicum', no. 12035 as by Gregorius Magnus). Folios 1v-95r: (2) Psalms and Canticles by days of week: Ps. Beatus uir - (94v) cant. Benedicite omnia opera domini... (95r) Benedictus es domine in firmamento celi et laudabilis et gloriosus et super exaltatus in secula. Headings sometimes indicate the canonical hour, e.g.: (73r) Sicut in breuiario continetur ad terciam hympnus. 95v blank except for ruling. Folios 96r-97r, once part of a leaf from another manuscript, later folded over and used as flyleaf (96rv) and as back pastedown (97r). (3) Calendar, with feast days in black (brown ink) or in red. Southern France. 96r includes, among entries in black: Translatio sancti benedicti (18 July). 96v includes, among entries in black: Salui episcopi (10 September; Salvius was Bishop of Albigeois); Exuperii episcopi et conf' (28 September; Exuperius was Bishop of Toulouse); Geraldi conf'. (i.e. Gerald of Aurillac; 13 October). On 96r is added (14th century) in black: ludouici episcopi et confessoris (19 August; Louis Bishop of Toulouse died 1297 and was canonized 1317: see 'Bibliotheca Hagiographica Latina', edd. Socii Bollandiani, (Brussels, 1898-1901), 3 volumes, (Supplement, 1986), no. 5054). [2] Initials: 1-line or 2-line in red or blue. Layout: 2 columns, 6mm between columns. 28 lines, ruled in pale brown. Single pale brown vertical and horizontal bounding lines. Script: Single hand using a rounded gothic script (brown ink). 2nd fo.: quecumque faciet prospera. Parchment (smooth on one side in the South European manner). Collation analysis: i-vii(8) viiiix(12) x(10) xi(6) (including blank endleaf). Horizontal catchwords in cartouches at centre of lower margins. Headings in red. Initials: (i) 5-line to 6-line and 3-line in blue and red with violet and red flourishes; (ii) 2-line in red with blue flourishes or in blue with red flourishes or in red with violet flourishes. Capitals in red or blue. Some flourishes form a one-sided or two-sided border. Inside front cover: (a) '9940' (recent pencil); (b) 'pseautier de la fin du XIVe siècle...' (recent modern hand); (c) 'Lan apro[...]' or 'Jan apron' (recent modern hand). On 97r: 'pater noster / credo / quicumque vult / letanie / magnificat / benedictus' (15th century).
