Abstract
Le but du présent rapport est d'informer les constructeurs sur la recherche en cours, de faire le point sur les projets terminés – un grand nombre de ceux-ci étant, par nature, à long terme – et de rendre compte des activités d'éla-boration des codes et, en particulier, des examens qui prennent place pour étudier les modifications proposées aux codes. Depuis plus de 65 ans, le CNRC fournit un avantage concurrentiel à l'industrie en cherchant des solutions à des problèmes typiquement canadiens et en faisant progresser les technologies dans le but d'améliorer la performance des bâtiments et la sécurité et le confort de leurs occupants. Si, comme prévu, le Canada doit devenir l'un des plus gros marchés dans le domaine de l'urbanisation au cours des cinq à six prochaines années, l'industrie doit se positionner dès aujourd'hui pour exploiter les nouvelles occasions d'affaires qui se présenteront. NRC travaille en étroite collaboration avec des intervenants, des collaborateurs et des clients de l'industrie de la construction et d'industries connexes pour nous assurer qu'ils continuent à jouer un rôle déterminant pour faire face à l'évolution des marchés.
