Mit Beitritt zum UNESCO-Übereinkommen über den Schutz und die Förderung der Vielfalt kultureller Ausdrucksformen hat sich Österreich dazu verpflichtet, Rahmenbedingungen zu schaffen, in denen sich eine Vielfalt kultureller Ausdrucksformen frei entfalten kann. Die Berücksichtigung verschiedener gesellschaftlicher Gruppen in der Ausgestaltung dieser Rahmenbedingungen ist zentral. Die Reflektionen der Veranstaltungsreihe "Forum Fair Culture - Kritische Diversität im Kultursektor", die von 2020-2022 stattfand, wurden in einer Publikation zusammengefasst. Unter dem Leitsatz „Vorzugsbehandlung im (post)migrantischen Österreich neu denken", öffnete die Veranstaltungsreihe „Forum Fair Culture“ den Raum für neuen Diskurs. Die Zusammenarbeit der Österreichischen UNESCO-Kommission mit kulturen in bewegung ermöglicht einen Blick in die Praxis und eine Bestandsaufnahme der aktuellen Verhältnisse.
