Abstract
It is no new story that the Bakken Formation is proven prolific in Williston Basin and under production for several decades. Present day field production and expected ultimate recovery questions are influenced by reservoir property distributions, static parameter understanding, as well as connectivity and dynamic flow behavior. This research is intended to focus on improving the comprehension of petrophysical drivers in the Bakken Formation in SE Saskatchewan, with an ultimate aim of integrating available field production, logs, core analyses and sedimentological model depictions into a holistic three dimensional model of petrophysical distribution. Research results are expected to advance existing knowledge on the Bakken Formation and should be directly applicable to industry projects such as pilots for secondary and tertiary recovery programs.
