Abstract
L’auteur a cherché à reconstruire le parcours des études sur la néolibéralisation de l’éducation, puis à établir la position de Foucault dans ce contexte. Pendant quelques années, les travaux du philosophe français sont restés, du moins en France, loin des analyses sur le néolibéralisme. Mais, avec la publication des cours dans lesquels Foucault analyse le neoliberalisme un nouveau courant d’études foucaldiennes a émergé. Il y a eu une tentative de revenir à l’interprétation foucaldienne au vu des changements survenus dans la société depuis les cours du philosophe. Le livre La Nouvelle Raison du Monde : essai sur la société néolibérale, de Christian Laval et Pierre Dardot, est à l’origine de ce mouvement d’actualisation du diagnostic de Foucault. De nombreuses études sont apparues présentant un nouveau diagnostic des systèmes éducatifs qui, même s’ils ne mentionnaient pas Foucault, s’appuyaient sur La nouvelle raison du monde. Les cours du philosophe français ont donné naissance à une nouvelle génération de penseurs et de chercheurs chargés de rétablir le caractère de critique politique radicale de l’œuvre de Foucault.
