38. Hawaiia minuscula (A. BINNEY, 1841), Minute Gem V e r b r e i t u n g: InNordamerikaweitverbreitet,incl.Alaska, Canada (im Osten), in den Rocky Mountain-Staaten ist sie eher selten; in Arizona ist sie angeblich die häufigste Art. Inzwischen ist sie anthropogen in viele Länder (einschliesslich Österreich) verschleppt worden; offenbar mit Pflanzen, da sie in Gewächshäusern vorkommt. H a b i t a t e: Die Art verfügt über ein weites Habitatspektrum, von bewaldet bis relativ offen, feucht bis arid; sie lebt an Kalk- und Sandsteinklippen unter Totholz und Steinen; in feuchten urbanen Habitaten. In den Ebenen tritt sie ziemlich allgemein auf; auch in mittleren Lagen; in Arizona wurde sie noch in 2.591 m Höhe festgestellt.
