Abstract
28. Theognete pragudemi Anderson, new species (Figures 91, 101, 110) Diagnosis. Size. Length, male, 3.20–3.77mm; female, 3.51–4.27mm. Width, male, 1.91–2.19mm; female, 1.91–2.36mm. As for T. ashei except elytra with clumps of scales narrow, with scales regularly linearly arranged in single longitudinal row. Aedeagus as in Fig. 101. Geographical distribution. El Salvador (Santa Ana), Honduras (Lempira). Natural history. Collected from berlese extraction of cloud forest leaf litter at an elevation of 2100m. Derivation of specific name. Through her support of the Nature Discovery Fund at the Canadian Museum of Nature, this species is named after Prasad S. Gudem of San Diego, California, as a gift from Jacinte Rose Jean. Material examined. 13♂, 8♀♀ (CMNC, EAPZ). Holotype ♂ (CMNC): EL SALVADOR: Santa Ana. Cerro Montecristo, 21.7 km N. E. Matapan, 2100m, 29.VIII.1994 -229 E, R. Anderson, cloud forest litter berlese / HOLOTYPE ♂, Theognete pragudemi sp. nov. R.S. Anderson. Aedeagus extracted. Paratypes: EL SALVADOR. Santa Ana. Metapan (21.7 km.
