Cottlesbrooke Estate, Northamptonshire Geoarchaeological Survey and Archaeological Trial Pit Survey and Paleoenvironmental Assessment.
Bibliographic record
Abstract
York Archaeology, Nottingham (formally Trent and Peak Archaeology) were commissioned by the Environment Agency on behalf of the Cottesbrook Estate to undertake a geoarchaeological survey and an archaeological test pit survey as part of the groundworks associated with a Countryside Stewardship scheme centring on NGR SP 73610 72104 (Area 1) and SP 73663 71348 (Area 2) Despite the proximity to a series of cropmarks and the presence of palaeochannels within the Brampton Branch of the River Nene, no archaeological features or waterlogged deposits were identified within any of the pits, possibly indicating a low instance of human activity within this particular area within a historically worked and cultivated landscape. The hand auger survey carried out a total of 51 holes across both areas Area 1 and 2, which recorded very limited preservation of organic material. Deposits in Area 1 to the north were found to be predominantly dry, with a single instance of thinly developed waterlogged organic material recovered from the palaeochannel in Transect 4 (core 4b). Area 2 recorded infrequent instances of waterlogged minerogenic sediment, demonstrating, an albeit low, possibility of discovering organic material preservation in other unsurveyed areas across the site. As a result, the archaeological and geoarchaeological potential of the study area is considered low

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
