Saotomia tuberculata Borovec & Anderson, spec. n. (Figs. 1–10) urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: C2D5C26F-067D-491E-A8DC-D2A5F9FD6B47 Type locality. São Tomé and Príncipe: Ilha São Tomé, Parque Nacional Óbó, WSW Bom Sucesso. Type material. Holotype: ♂, ‘ SÃO TOMÉ AND PRÍNCIPE: Ilha São Tomé, Parque Nacional Óbó, forest near radio tower 1.63 air km WSW Bom Sucesso, 0°16′34″N 6°36′20″E, 1351 m, 9–16 April 2001, C. E. Griswold collector, Cal. Acad. Sci. Coll. STP-003, CASENT 5001674’ (CASC). Paratypes: 10 ♂♂ ♀♀, the same data as holotype, but numbers on label with ‘CASENT’ are as follows: 1639, 1643, 1652, 1653, 1658, 1661, 1662, 1673, 1685 and 1690 (CASC, 5; CMNC, 3; RBSC, 1). Description. Body length 3.03–3.31 mm, holotype 3.19 mm. Appressed scales on pronotum and elytra irregularly short oval, slightly imbricate, 4–6 rows across width of one elytral interval (Figs 1, 2); scales on head, on scapes, femora and tibiae distinctly smaller than those on elytra; scales light brownish with weak pearly sheen (Fig. 1). Elytra with low tubercles across surface, each with one inconspicuous, short, erect piliform setae placed on top; length of each seta shorter than half width of interstria; pronotum and head with rostrum with similar setae, sparsely irregularly scattered; scapes, femora and tibiae with short, erect setae; funicles with erect, moderately long setae; clubs densely finely setose; tarsi with short semi-erect setae. Rostrum (Fig. 3) 1.05–1.08× wider than long, at base 1.11–1.16× wider than at apex, epifrons 1.18–1.22 × wider than long. Antennal scape (Figs 1, 3) curved at midlength, in basal half slender, in apical half faintly evenly enlarged apicad, at apex 0.6–0.7× as wide as club, 0.7–0.8× as long as protibia, 1.4–1.5× longer than funicle. Funicle article 1 1.9–2.0× longer than wide and 1.3–1.4× longer than article 2, this is 1.6–1.7× longer than wide; articles 3–6 1.3–1.4× wider than long; article 7 1.2–1.3× wider than long; club 1.4–1.5× longer than wide. Pronotum (Fig. 1) 1.41–1.45× wider than long, 0.62–0.68× as wide and 0.25–0.29× as long as elytra, with laterally directed, rounded and moderately projected lobes. Disc with ill-defined, low, longitudinal median keel along basal two thirds, enlarged just before base to low rounded elevation and lowered between keel and lateral lobes. Elytra (Fig. 1) 1.21–1.29× longer than wide. Tarsomere 2 1.4–1.5× wider than long; tarsomere 3 1.4× wider than long and 1.4–1.5× wider than tarsomere 2; onychium 1.9–2.0× longer than tarsomere 3; claw as long as tarsomere 3. Penis (Fig. 6) 2.5× longer than wide, in dorsal view subparallel-sided, with slightly rounded sides, apex lengthened to moderately long slender tip, with distinctly concave sides; in profile weakly regularly curved, tip lengthened, straight; endophallus at rest (Fig. 6), with complex of three basal hook-shaped endophallites and two long, approximate, sickle-shaped endophallites in apical part. Spermatheca (Fig. 9) with almost straight cornu; ramus robust, about as long as wide, apically tapered; collum subtriangular, about as long as ramus, apically lengthened to slender tip. Etymology. This species is named ‘tuberculata’ after the low, elytral tubercles.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
