Abstract
A programme of historic building recording was undertaken prior to the proposed conversion of farm outbuildings. The farmstead at Charity Farm dates from the mid 19th century with the farmhouse bearing a datestone of 1854. In 1889, the remainder of the farmstead complex comprised a three-sides range of outbuildings consisting of a north, east and west ranges. These enclosed a central, south facing courtyard. By the end of the 19th century/early 20th century, a central range was added to this complex, which has remained relatively unchanged since that time.
