Abstract
Aquest article explora la política econòmica de la Generalitat de Catalunya. S’analitza la distribució de les competències econòmiques entre les diferents administracions, incloent-hi la Unió Europea, el govern central espanyol, la Generalitat de Catalunya i les administracions locals. També es detallen els components principals de la política econòmica de la Generalitat i es posa èmfasi en el pressupost del 2023. Es discuteix l’impacte del dèficit fiscal en els comptes de la Generalitat i es compara el nivell d’autogovern amb altres regions com el País Basc, Flandes, el Quebec i els lands alemanys. La comparació amb altres regions amb alts nivells d’autogovern posa de manifest les limitacions del model català i ofereix una visió clara sobre la necessitat d’una reforma en el sistema de finançament que permeti a Catalunya assolir un desenvolupament més equitatiu i sostenible. Les conclusions destaquen les polítiques econòmiques principals, els desafiaments financers, la necessitat de millorar l’autogovern i la importància d’un sistema de finançament més just per permetre majors inversions en sectors clau i reduir les desigualtats socials.
